Elena Afanasieva is an illustrator and storyteller.

«In the beginning was the Word, and then a picture appeared – that’s what happened to me. I have always written, though mostly without publication prospects. Illustrations appeared much later – I started drawing two years ago and still can't stop calling myself an aspiring illustrator.

Each picture and each story is a kind of manifesto of me – what I am filled with, how I see and feel. And also pictures demonstrate misunderstanding and absurdity, childishness and infantilism, fear mixed with curiosity.
