«For now I identify myself as a documentary illustrator, as I prefer to work with real stories, both others and my own. In my projects, I mix classic comics, archival work, essays and classic illustration. The object of my interest is always the person and his emotions, traumas, memory and issues of identity. I see importance in conjunction of feelings, combination of impression and the effect of a witness.
In terms of technique, I am attracted by the lively language of sketching and work with such materials as charcoal and graphite or their digital imitation, as well as analog printing techniques.
My academic interest is subjectivity and ethics in documentary comics».
