Elena Rymshina
Elena Rymshina is a curator of independent exhibitions and projects. Graduated with honors from the St. Petersburg Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin at the Russian Academy of Arts. Specialization: fine arts and graphic design of the 20th century, domestic and foreign graphics and illustration.

Elena is a member of the Association of Art Historians and International Association of Art Critics (AIC, since 1999); member of the Moscow Union of Artists (section of criticism, since 2012). Elena worked as a researcher at the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin, and studied at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa, New York, USA).

Since 2011 – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication Design of the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts. Since 2014 she has been a guest lecturer at the HSE School of Design. Since 2015 Elena has been the 1st category custodian of the Department of the 18th - early 20th centuries graphics at the State Tretyakov Gallery.

2017-2021 – Member of the Publishing Schools of the German Book Center / the representative office of the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.

2015, 2017-2021 – Curator of the «Illustrator Program. DNA of a Book» at the Moscow International Fair of Non/Fiction Intellectual Literature.

2020 – laureate (co-authored) of the State Prize in the field of contemporary art «Innovation 2020» in the «Educational project» nomination.
