Varvara Obshivalkina was born in Kazan in 1996 and graduated from Kazan Art College named after Nickolai Feshin (with a degree in easel painting) and Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov (department of graphics, studio of graphics and poster art).
«I am an artist and I do visual arts related to hand-drawn and printed graphics, illustration, painting and collage. Experimenting with different techniques and formats, I create graphic series and other projects.
I am interested in the topic of everyday life, the surrounding world and modern society. I really like to depict people‚ objects and architecture.
At different stages of my work, I am inspired by many artists, but invariably this list includes Poole Klee, Saul Steinberg and Pablo Picasso».
